Our Services

At Tallgrass Pediatric Therapy we help infants, toddlers, children, and young adults develop the essential skills they need to thrive. Through individualized, play-based interventions, our therapists partner with your family to build independence and confidence. We teach you practical, everyday strategies to encourage continued progress right at home.

Occupational Therapy (OT)

Occupational therapy focuses on the "occupations" of childhood: playing, learning, socializing, and completing daily self-care tasks. Our OTs target underlying sensory, motor, and emotional challenges to build physical strength, coordination, and daily independence.

What We Treat:

  • Sensory Processing: Sensory Processing Disorders (SPD), behavioral & emotional regulation challenges.

  • Motor Skills: Fine motor delays, handwriting difficulties, visual-motor & visual-perceptual deficits, developmental coordination disorder (DCD/dyspraxia).

  • Physical & Developmental Conditions: Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), developmental delays, ADHD, Cerebral Palsy, Down syndrome, Torticollis, and brachial plexus injuries.

  • Daily Living: Self-care and ADL difficulties (dressing, toileting, grooming).

Feeding Therapy

Feeding therapy helps children build safe, efficient, and positive relationships with food. Whether your child has physical difficulties chewing or intense sensory aversions to textures, our specialists work to expand their diet and make mealtime stress-free.

What We Treat:

  • Sensory & Behavioral Mechanics: Sensory food aversions (extreme pickiness with textures, colors, or smells), Pediatric Feeding Disorder (PFD), and mealtime anxiety.

  • Oral-Motor & Safety Concerns: Oral-motor delays (weak chewing, poor tongue movement, pocketing food), choking, gagging, or vomiting during meals, and difficulty transitioning to solids.

  • Functional Mealtime Habits: Difficulty using utensils or cups, and building positive mealtime routines.
